| Come Home to Comfort Foods
With a snap in the air, you may find yourself craving satisfying comfort foods -- hearty foods that warm you up from the inside out. Standbys like soups, stews and pot pies are perfect winter foods.
These favorites can require some advance planning, however -- you’ll need time to prepare the ingredients, assemble the dish and then wait for it to cook. This can be a great project for a leisurely weekend, but what about a busy workday? When you’re in the mood for comfort food and time is tight, high quality prepared dishes can fill the bill.
Pepperidge Farm kitchens has introduced three new flavors of their Premium Pot Pies, perfect for dinner on a chilly night. The sophisticated new varieties include Chicken Primavera with Garlic & Herbs, Creamy Alfredo Chicken & Broccoli and Chunky Chicken Parmesan. All three feature new, seasoned crusts for added appeal.
"Consumers have always loved Pepperidge Farm pot pies for their premium quality ingredients and delicious flaky crusts," says Louise Wolf Ferencz, business director, Pepperidge Farm Frozen. "Now our new pot pies provide the same outstanding quality plus flavors that are truly gourmet." The new varieties join the company’s traditional Roasted Chicken and Roasted Turkey pot pies.
The Chicken Primavera with Garlic & Herbs pot pie blends roasted white meat chicken, broccoli florets, carrots, and sweet corn in a delicate garlic and Chablis wine sauce, surrounded by an Italian herb-seasoned crust. The Creamy Alfredo Chicken & Broccoli variety combines roasted white meat chicken and crisp broccoli florets in a rich Alfredo sauce encased in a cracked pepper parmesan-seasoned crust. And finally, the Chunky Chicken Parmesan combines roasted white meat chicken, mozzarella cheese and tomato sauce enveloped in an Italian herb-seasoned crust.
Especially when it's cool outside, these new Pepperidge Farm stars are a mouthwatering, warm-from-the-oven meal you can prepare with ease and serve with pride. You can find them in the frozen food section of supermarkets east of the Rocky Mountains.
